Match report: Chelsea hold Liverpool to a 1 - 1 draw at Anfield

Liverpool started strongly having chances through Wijnaldum and Coutinho but Courtois was up to the task.

Against the run of
play however, Chelsea earned a freekick outside the box and when it looked like Willian would take it, David Luiz stepped up before Mignolet could set himself up.

WIjnaldum equalized with a solid header in the second half that the Chelsea goalie could do nothing about.

When it looked like the match will end 1 - 1, Chelsea were awarded a penalty in the 77th minute.
Diego Costa stepped up but Mignolet saved his sixth penalty as a Liverpool goalkeeper.

That was how the match ended. Chelsea still top of the league with 56 points from 23 games and ten points ahead of Liverpool in fourth place.
