in their final Group C game to claim the second spot on 6 points and
join DR Congo who thrashed Togo 3 – 1 in their last game to win the
group with 7 points.
The Hawks of Togo came last in the group with just a point after three games and are also out.
While
supporters of the Elephants are lamenting their early exit from the
competition as they have failed to defend their title, others have taken
different swipes on the team saying they lack focus, direction, purpose
and should immediately pack their baggages to their home capital Abidjan.
