So before AJ and Cena tear the house down, Owens and Reigns throw-up yet more Universal Championship chaos and a new Royal Rumble winner is declared, feast yourself on Gorilla Position’s guide to the very best the event has to offer.

10 Wonder Women (1999)

We’ve become a custom to the women of WWE shattering the glass celling’s in the last eighteen months, but back in 1999 it was a whole different story. The women’s division had a completely different feel and agenda back in the ‘Attitude Era’ - except that is, for one lady whose name goes down in Royal Rumble history. Chyna became the first female to enter the Rumble during 1999’s event, joining proceedings at number 30 and even dumped out Mark Henry, before Stone Cold Steve Austin ended the history-making moment. In later years Beth Phoenix repeated the feat, when she competed in the 2010 event.
