Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann will take up the role of
Superman in the new Lego Batman Movie, the player has announced.
Griezmann, who quite regularly comes to the aid of his team-mates for club and country in a footballing sense, is taking his role as Superman more literally as he enters the world of highbrow film.

In what will undoubtedly go down in history alongside film-making greats such as Orson Welles, Woody Allen, Federico Fellini, Yasujirô Ozu and so on, Griezmann has teamed up with director Chris McKay who is best known for his work with the ‘Robot Chicken’ television series, of course.

The feature, which will be available in classic Vue Cinemas near you, will channel your inner-child but also massage your need for the comforting sound of a famous footballer’s soothing voice.

‘Bruce Wayne must not only deal with the criminals of Gotham City, but also the responsibility of raising a boy he adopted,’ IMDB lures us in with wondrous air of mystery.
Here is the star himself, Antoine Griezmann, announcing his new role:

A warning must go out to Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone who will now be living in fear of a call from the Cinema of France who will be preparing a transfer swoop for the 25-year-old.
Jean-Paul Belmondo… Jean-Pierre Léaud… Antoine Griezmann.
