It is now estimated that 1.2 billion people follow Premier League clubs worldwide with
Manchester United having the strongest global support with 95 million fans, according to a new study.

Current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte became the fifth Italian to lead the club when he arrived in the summer, a trend that could explain why the highest concentration of the Blues’ 75 million followers come from the home of Serie A.

Interestingly, Luis Suarez’s impact on former club Liverpool is still proving it’s worth in his native Uruguay as Reds fans outweigh the global average by an incredible 600% in terms of concentrated followers.

The study was compiled by Unibet and compiles all Facebook Audience Insights into football support.
